The Rizal Library is open to Ateneo de Manila University alumni and retirees,
students from other colleges and universities, private companies, government and
non-government organizations, as well as to private individuals who would like to
do research and use the library’s vast collection of information sources.
The guidelines for library visitors are as follows:
1. Alumni
• Free access and on premise use of the library’s collection and facilities (except for computer
and internet terminals) for the first (3) visits (per semester) after which a research fee of
P100.00 per day will be charged.
2. Alumni - Order of the Blue Eagle (OBE)
• Unlimited and free access to the library’s collection and facilities (except for computer and
internet terminals). OBE members are eligible to borrow a maximum of 2 books at a time,
good for 2 weeks after a deposit of P600.00 per book. The deposit is refunded upon
the return of the book. For more information please inquire at the Circulation Counter.
3. Alumni - Ateneo Alumni Association (AAA)
• Unlimited, free access, and on premise use of the library’s collection and facilities (except for computer and internet terminals).
4. ADMU Retirees
• Free access to the library’s collection and facilities (except for computer and internet
terminals). ADMU retirees are eligible to borrow 3 books at a time, good for one month.
5. Undergraduate students
• On premise use of the library’s collection and facilities (except for computer and internet
terminals) after presenting a validated school ID, referral letter from the school’s librarian
(every visit) and paying a research fee of:
P30.00 per day (Monday - Friday 2:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. only)
OR
P50.00 per day (Saturday 8:00 - 6:00 p.m.)
6. Graduate and Post-graduate students / Researchers / Private individuals
• On premise use of the library’s collection and facilities (except for computer and internet
terminals) after presenting an identification card and paying a research fee of
P100.00 (per day).
Note:
- These charges do not include special services such as photocopying, scanning,
and microprinting, etc.
- High School students are not allowed to use the Rizal Library’s collection and facilities.
Persons wearing the following clothes and footwear will not be allowed to enter the library:
1. Soiled clothes
2. Lounging/gym/athletic/cycling shorts
3. Short shorts
4. Lounging/gym/athletic tops and sleeveless shirts (for men)
5. Low-cut/backless/strapless tops and bare midriff
6. Very short skirts/dress
7. Very low-rise jeans (low-waist)
8. Slippers - type of footwear consisting of a sole secured to the foot by straps over
the instep only (Y-shaped strap)
9. Other kinds of clothing that run counter to the guidelines in the memo on the Dress
Code dated 6th December 2007.
