Horse Racing: More Fun in the Rizal Library
1/19/2012The Rizal Library participated in the historic Ateneo College Fair (revived after more than a decade!) held last January 13-14, 2012. The Ateneo community and guests enjoyed playing the horse race game against librarians in a battle for various gift certificates, Rizal Library merchandise, and other prizes.
This activity was conducted to promote the use of EBSCOHost (an online research database the Library) and to gather fiction book requests for the collection of the Library. Individuals were able to play the game for free by getting their EBSCOHost off-campus passwords, and by recommending a fiction book for the Lib. During this two-day event, a total of 81 students, professionals, staff, and faculty members registered for passwords, and 240 fiction book titles were recommended.
