CHALLENGES IN PRESERVING AND MANAGING
CULTURAL HERITAGE RESOURCES
October 19-21, 2005

Central to the conference theme is the belief that libraries and archives are at the heart of the information society. Preservation and conservation of cultural heritage resources in libraries, archives and information centers should be addressed for posterity. To face challenges to overcome technological obsolescence while expecting continuing change in information technology in a way that preserves demonstrably authentic cultural heritage resources as well as those information resources it produces.

The conference aims to provide the opportunity for colleagues from around the world to share, disseminate and discuss current key issues and trends concerning the preservation and management of our cultural heritage resources.
