The Cataloging Section is a centralized system responsible for the organization of library materials with the necessary bibliographic records and controls to facilitate access to all materials that the library holds and acquires.

Objectives

To organize library materials for effective use for library's clients through: cataloging, subject analysis, classification using the Library of Congress Classification Scheme and Subject Headings.

To improve bibliographic control over materials by participating in the production and maintenance of permanent bibliographic records for public and staff use in the form of catalog now called Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC)

Mission

To catalog all library materials (books, bound periodicals, thesis, VHS tapes, CDs, etc.) observing the MAGIS of St. Ignatius.

Library Hours

Monday-Friday: 8:00am - 5:00pm

Saturdays: 8:00am - 12:00nn

SEMESTRAL BREAK Monday-Friday: 8:00am - 5:00pm

Saturdays: 8:00am - 12:00nn

Announcement on special library service schedules are posted in advance at the library entrance, bulletin boards, & helpdesk.
