A Heuristic Examination of the Feasibility of Instituting a Philippine Digital Audio Library

LI JIA, PHD finished his LLB, major in sociology (with academic honors) from the University of Shanghai in 2000. While serving as marketing director for Tom Lee Music Hong Kong, he received his masters’ and doctorate degrees from Shanghai Conservatory of Music and Saint Louis University in 2005 and 2011, respectively. Dr. Li Jia has a profound industrial experience in information technology, particularly in IT security issues and online marketing. Currently, he is finishing his second doctorate degree in music at University of the Philippines, Diliman.

Abstract

The study seeks to examine the feasibility of creating a Philippine digital audio library to safeguard its rich musical legacy based on the experiences of other countries in setting up such a library. It will assess the possibility of replicating successful strategies in the Philippine context.
